“Summer Sleeping”

Air lifting,

Birds singing.

Soil smell,

Moisture clinging.

All is green,

All is growing.

Drum of rain,

Gentle roaring.

New found streams in roads are running,

Ancient peace in soul is pooling.

Earthworms sprinting,

Robins gorging,

Day is ending,

I am breathing.

Coolness comes,

Rain receding.

Darkness dawning,

I am sleeping.
